26 Pounds in 22 Weeks…
By Oliver | July 23, 2007
Hello and Welcome,
My name is Oliver and I am the 3-Hour Diet’s Lead Diet Instructor. I am so happy to bring you the latest and greatest from the 3-Hour Diet. Today, I want to introduce Lindy to you. She sent me an email—and I think you should all should hear about it.
A while back, holiday season was upon Lindy, as were all the treats taunting her—cookies, cakes, drinks…they were everywhere. After the demise of her willpower during the holidays, she was watching the Food Network with Emeril and saw Jorge cooking with him. It intrigued her to take a step. She said “something must be done” and wanted to make a change. I see it all the time, overeating at holidays, or even just at day-to-day events. We hate to put ourselves through it, but it seems like it’s too hard to stop at times. Solution? Lindy: “I planned and recorded every meal, every day. I kept a record of everything.” That was her key, and then 22 weeks and 26 pounds lost, she was “feeling better and ready to wear a bikini this summer!”![]()
How do these success stories really do it? The first thing that has always pushed those to succeed is making the commitment to better health. It is so vital, that foundation will push you from the beginning all the way to the very last pound you want to lose! Also, as Lindy mentioned, planning is the second step. When you plan your daily meals out you recognize when you are eating for a purpose other than nutrition, such as for emotional reasons or boredom. And if you record your progress and share it, you will keep yourself accountable to stay strong.
I see it daily, success is all about making the decision. Find a way to plan, record, and use the community as a support system. How many weeks until YOU can reach your goal? Can you match Lindy’s 26 pounds in 22 weeks? The challenge is on!
